Wouldn't it be awesome if we all walked around with smiles like this every day. Of course people would think you are crazy and sometimes that would be okay.

Lukas, you done good buddy! Hope you get to feeling better too!
On April 10th we will be hosting another Dog Portraits Event with The Hollywood Frame Gallery. The only difference this year is that we have teamed up with the Houston Humane Society to help with food donations. Today Monica from the Humane Society brought in a few puppies for us to photograph for our information pieces about the food drive. These two little pups really clung to everyone's heart in the studio but unfortunately nobody could take them home. So if you are in the market for love this Valentine's season be sure and check out the great dogs and cats at the Houston Humane Society.

Zoe rocks and it scares the hell out of me that she has already been rockin for a year. That's all that needs to be said.

Every once in awhile I will see an image in a shoot that I think is rather funny, print it with the inscription on the back "1000 words". I usually give this to one of my staff that thinks I am crazy already.
Today I came across this lovely entry for 1000 words.
The Kegg family rocks the house and was a lot of fun to photograph. This was one of the first images I took to make sure the lighting was right. Fortunately for me I think it speaks a 1000 words about family. Its never a dull moment with lots of kids especially when one of your young-ins has four legs and refuses to look at the camera.
Enjoy your Wednesday everyone, and keep an eye out for 1000 words.
For those of you that have more than 1 child, you will understand the phenomenon I call second child syndrome...in this case it is Third Child Syndrome. This is easily explained with an example. As a new parent, you want to ensure that your baby is given the most healthy of snacks and you would never introduce sugar (at least not in the first year). You carefully choose fruits and vegetables that are cut into perfect finger foodsFast forward to child number three and you get Zoe digging into an Oreo. Ohh and did she love the Oreo!
We had our last session for the year today and it couldn't have been a better way to cap everything off. Mary was the last on our list for the day. She actually graduated from high school last year but her mother still wanted to get a portrait done. We noticed that Mary had a real cool Meryl Streep look so we kicked out a few classy stage images that totally rock her beautiful look.

Mary was down with a little something different so we played around and decided not to worry about the details and just take some great photos. We had a lot of fun telling GREAT JOKES but I think everyone is tired of my jokes.

I love the next images. It is just real easy going and pretty much no frills.

Kristen thinks Mary looks like Dakota Fanning in the next images. I don't see it but then again there is a lot I miss on a daily basis. Good thing I have people like Denise, Kristen, Leanne and Keri to point those things out for me.

Thanks for kicking out the jams with us Mary. It was a lot of fun! Safe travels back to Chicago!
