Welcome aboard JG!
Last Wednesday afternoon I headed to The Methodist Hospital to photograph a newborn client. Mommy came in a few week before for her maternity session. We had a lot of fun but you could tell this day couldn't come soon enough. Needless to say Dad called me in the AM and I showed up some time later that afternoon.
These sessions are called our babies first day sessions and are quickly growing in popularity. Basically I provide an on location session in the hospital within the babies first 24 hours. The family also receives a slide show set to music. The best part is that we also host the images on Collages.net for the family to share with others.
JG arrived around 9:00 on Tuesday night. So right now he almost exactly 7 days old. Man the weeks fly by fast! He was such a sweet little guy and there was lots of family around to celebrate.

His grandmother was glowing with excitement. She was first up for the photo op. She was smiles from ear to ear.

Next up was JG's big uncle. He was pretty excited and totally comfortable handling the little guy.

Dad got in the pictures and couldn't help but kiss the little guy. These are such awesome images because I know I am truly capturing those first moments of bonding.

JG awoke and was aware of his surroundings. He wasn't too thrilled with the flash but did a great job modeling.

Being a star is a bit boring and who could resist a baby yawn! Oh to be 15 hours old again. THOSE WERE THE DAYS!

Dad was pretty tired but managed to swaddle JG and get him ready for feeding. This little guy had some real personality. And if he is anything like his dad he will be a total riot.

Once settled in with mommy JG went right back to sleep. We left shortly after this and can't wait to see them back in the studio for their newborn studio portrait.

We are glad your hear JG!
