Half Day and New Camera
Last night when I got home my new camera was there waiting for me. Denise put me on a waiting list for the New Nikon D3. The cool thing about this rig is that it handles low light very well. It also has great detail at a high ISO with very little noise in the image.
Whitney got out of school today at noon so she was my little model while we waited for mommy to pick her up. The new camera does great with low light. These two images are done with just window light and a little reflector. I softened her skin a touch but other than that it is pretty much directly out of the camera.

My little girl is getting big every day. On the way to school this morning she was reading a book to me. Pretty soon she won't want anything to do with me but right now I get every little bit I can.

One last note for the technical kids. The last image was shot at ISO 3200 at 1/125 second and f9. While I probably wouldn't enlarge this too much, it was still very sharp with little noise. We have a busy weekend ahead of us to be on the lookout for more images.
