12 Days To Christmas

Today Whitney received some Corpus Christi, Aunt Toni love in the psychedelic form of Christmas socks.  Whitney was pumped to rock the holiday swag with her new polky dotty dress.  We threw down a little photo shoot just for A.T. out of C.C.  Thanks for the love!  It made a little girls holidays!

Only 15 Days Till Christmas

Our son James has been very festive this holiday season due to his pageant training at school.  Last night we all piled into the gym at school to watch his big debut.  These little shows are hilarious but surprisingly organized.  Both James and his good buddy Finn were all smiles on stage.

When James spotted us in the crowed he started to get a little silly.

Our little man is growing up too fast.  He knows multiple verses of many different songs.  Ms. Amy and the rest of his teachers really know how to train these kids.

After the show James was so excited about his day.  We were ultra proud of him for being so good at singing.  Mommy didn't even cry!

Finn was excited about his performance as well.  His mom dad and grandparents were there to cheer him on.

I don't think the little show was as much a gift as the look of pride and happiness on these kids faces when they were done.  That was something that meant more than anything else this holiday season.

Thanks Ms. Amy for being awesome!

21 Days Until Christmas

During the holidays it seems like I am constantly working.  Fortunately I get to see my kids a lot and they hang out with me at the studio in the afternoon some days.  Recently Whitney wanted to decorate the studio with Christmas art.  I told her to draw me a picture of a tree and decorate it with lots of ornaments.

When she finished drawing, I then scanned the piece and printed it on our large format printer as a 24X36 print.  The kids were so excited when they saw the drawing almost as big as James.  When we got home the kids immediately got tape and taped the drawing on the wall.

Probably the best part of the whole deal was listening to Whitney explain the process to her mother.  She wanted to make sure that Denise saw the red thing at the bottom as a rug and the blue at the top as the ceiling.  When asked about the clouds on the wall she said, "It doesn't matter I like the clouds being inside and daddy says its not wrong."  I was proud to hear her explanation and artist integrity.

24 Days To Christmas!

We have been super busy recently but we couldn't pass up the first day of December!  There are only 24 days left until Christmas and we love the music this time of year. Sunny 99.1 is on all the time.  Michelle and Gonzo are tired of hearing the music in the studio.

One of my favorites is an old school throw back from when I was a kid by The Caroleers.

Fortunately the version I have is a LP on vinyl.  But you can also grab all the cool songs on ITunes.  Just look up The Caroleers and you will be in bad studio recording heaven!  These songs are the best when sung out loud to your kids.  They will be totally disgusted with you!  So get out there and teach your kids about "The Day Before The Night Before Christmas" with a little Caroleers Lovin.
