Studio Open House - April 17th and 18th

In a few days we will be expanding our studio next door.  Everyone at the studio is excited about our new challenges and growth.  We are planning on some new changes in the studio to get even more creative!

This also gives us a reason to have some fun and invite the world to our Open House on April 19th and 18th.  During the Open House we are offering "End of School Year Portraits".  We will have a set ready for your kids to have a quick Danny-Style school photo done.  The charge for the portrait is $50 and you get the image on a CD (1 child per sitting).  Part of the proceeds will go directly to the Texas Center For The Missing.  In addition, we will be giving out Child ID Kits, cookies and laughs.

We are also going to have our newest little project art car available for everyone to come and decorate.  So if you want to get creative and would love the opportunity to paint on a car stop by and give us your best work.

We hope to see you there!

The Greatest Gift / Invention For New Parents

It is surprising to Denise and I how every time we have a child (That sounds so weird) we find that technology (or common sense) has evolved.  When our daughter Whitney was born we researched everything.  I read books about pregnancy, birth, parenting etc etc.  With our second James, we were a little less worried about his needs as we were with our own.  How are we going to deal with TWO kids.  I did all the research I could on the subject.  We had the toys, clothes and all the little stuff available.

When we found out we were having a third child it was a little different.  We didn't research as much as just got ready.  We looked for ways to make it easy for us.  I decided that we didn't need anything but a bunch of diapers and a few t-shirts for the kid.  Easy and painless was the key.

Thanks to all our great friends and family, we received a lot of cool stuff.  One thing stands out the most though as our life line to keeping Zoe on track.  My buddy Diane Sizemore at Hip Hop Lollipop gave us a little tool that has become another member of the family.  Even the kids know it is important.

What has made out life easier is called the  itzbeen.  When we had Whitney and James we had a little notepad with all the details about their habits.  When they ate, when we changed their diaper, when they slept.  Well the itzbeen takes care of all that for you.  It is basically a stop watch with four different timers.  It also is a nightlight and tells mommy what side she fed on last!  Basically the itzbeen is the greatest shower gift on the planet!

If you are ever trying to figure out what to get a new mother or even and experienced one that will soon have her hands full this is the gift for them.  I think the only thing that could be cooler is if they had a slick little ap for your balckberry or iphone.  If you looking for the perfect gift head on over to Hip Hop Lollipop an tell Diane you want an itzbeen!

New Front Page Price List Model for 2009

Each year we go through and revamp our price list right around the end of February.  Denise and I go through and evaluate our products to see what has sold well and what didn't sell at all.  We also listen to what all our great clients tell us they would like to see more of.

The cover photo of our price book changes each year as well.  Before Zoe arrived we alternated James and Whitney as the cover image.  This year Zoe gets to be the cover girl.  Of course this only means that she won't grace the cover again for three years.  This little nugget is growing up fast.  She is about 7 weeks old in the photo below.

For 2009 we have lots of really cool new stuff.  We also brought back our packages to make life a little simpler when selecting your images.  If you would like us to send you a copy of our price book for 2009 please feel free to give us a call at the studio or just shoot Denise an email at denise@dannyclarkphotography.com

And be sure to bring those smiling faces by during our open house April 17th and 18th!

Austin is keeping is real.

On most days we get to hang with some pretty fun kids and parents around the studio.  Most are pretty excited to be in the studio to have their portraits taken.  Recently we had Austin in the studio but he just wasn't himself.  He had recently fell ill from a vaccination and we think it took a little wind out of his sails.  We tried and tried and tried to cheer the little guy up but he just wouldn't budge.  At least not until his mommy brought out this super crazy cool Hook and Ladder truck.

Austin livened up and showed us how every one year old dude should be, 100% chilled.  Of course a little while later mommy also jumped in front of the camera to give us a hand with the giggles.

Austin was a tough nut to crack but I think he did a great job.  We hope you feel better big guy!  Keep on rockin n' rollin.

Chunky Baby Ava with bright eyes!

This past weekend Christina and Conner brought their precious little Ava in for her newborn portrait.  Most little three week old babies are pretty much jello but Ava is ready for the world with big bright eyes and an awareness like no other.

She slept hard for a good while allowing us to get plenty of beautiful images of her slumber.  Little did we realize she was getting ready for the real test when she woke up.

Once she woke up she was all about charming the camera and having her way.  Daddy wanted an image of her smiling and I was happy to see we actually have one.  Of course the impish smile I received was one that I am sure will get her in trouble for years to come.  She was in complete control throughout the session with her sweetness.

Watch out Christina and Conner, you got a wild one there!  Thanks for sharing your wonderful new family with us.  We had a lot of fun!

Sterling and Gustavo

Back in January Farrah and I busted out another Johnston wedding that was totally rockin.   This time Sterling was gettin hitched in her family's home.  The scene was beautiful with lots of friends, family and candles!

Before the wedding Gustavo and I grabbed a few portraits.  He is a great guy and had a wonderful family!

Like Moran's wedding we got down and dirty with a photo booth.  These kids got into it and enjoyed every flash!  These are my two favorites!

If you want to see the whole ditty just check the video below.  >

We had a great time Sterling!  Thanks for letting us be a part of your day!
