Quret - Once in the home, always in the home.

This past weekend we headed down to Corpus Christi to visit family and do a little fishing (More on that Later).  Saturday the boys went fishing and the girls headed to the beach.  The weather was pretty mild but the overcast sky took a toll on Whitney's back.  Unfortunately she got herself a little burn.

Fortunately Chad had this drawing salve that soothed her skin immediately on contact.  I have had a number of sunburns but I have never seen an ointment sooth a burn like Quret.  This stinky little ointment was the savior Saturday night.  Now that we are heading into summer it would be wise to grab yourself a little bottle of this stuff.  While we should always be careful in the sun, there are also those areas we sometimes forget about.  And if you suffer from boils this will also help those too...

Ballerina Days This Summer at the Houston Met

Last week I was at the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company shooting Ballerinas for an exclusive event being held in this fantastic studio.  We have not set any dates yet but most of our promotional materials will be going out soon.  The shoot included some extremely talented dancers and beautiful costumes.  The images below are just a sample of what I took.

We had wee little ones like Maggie.

Awesome Jumpers!

Katie was like a feather.

And she is the sweetest big sister too.

Can you hear it.  I want to live forever!

If you looking for a great summer dance program the Houston Met is where it is at.  They teach the real deal and don't hold back.  Whitney loves the studio and everyone there creates such a positive environment.

Open House 2009

We wanted to thank everyone who braved the weather and came out to hang with us during our open house.  This past weekend was a real challenge with all the flooding and torrential storms.  But the cookies were eaten, the car was painted and everyone seemed to have a good time.

All the kids did a great job painting the Camaro which gets lots of looks on the road.  Gonzo mentioned today that the car looks like urban camouflage.  We especially love the Darth Vader, The Hip Hop Lollipop Logo and the H.F.G. Tag.  Thanks again and keep on rollin with the art!

Jammers Autobody Rocked The Wagon

After Gonzo worked his magic on the art car we began to worry that the paint would fade.  Because of our lovely Texas Heat the paint applied would eventually disappear.  This would be a tragedy so we began looking for a solution.

First we tried to just spray a simple enamel on the paint.  Unfortunately the paint (in a very small area) started to peak away.  After a good scolding form my wife we turned to an expert.  I contacted Al at Jammers and he started to look for a possible solution.  It wasn't easy since the paint was unstable and you could just clear coat the car.  But the guys at Jammers figured something out and the Intergalactic Lone Star Wagon had a shiny new protective coat.  The paint is all slick and shines like no other!

If you are ever looking for someone to mod your whip or fix a fender bender, you gotta go to Jammers.
