Another day in Paradise

Yesterday (or whatever day it is) we headed back to Cortona so Gareth and Martha could be taught how to get married. Everything during the rehersal process is done back at the town square.

Our guide is Marco who is seriously organized on this process and was making every effort possible to get this crew of people to understand the Cortona protocol of marriage. All of the wedding party was present. Martha has two nephews and and niece that are super cool kids. They are always dressed up and ready for a party.

Part of this process is legalizing the wedding with bureaucracy.

After the legalization of marriage we head to the area where the couple will be married. Or like I like to call it, “The darkest room in Cortona”.

After we finished with the rehersal we hung out in Cortona a little more and had lunch. There are these little fruit and vegetable stands along the paths with some of the best looking “healthy” food you can find. Of course the only thing I selected was a photo.

I also managed to have a second lifetime supply of truffels in one meal with these awesome souffle at, you guessed it, an Italian restaurant in Cortona!

Another charming part of Cortona are all the different doors. They are super old but look really cool.

SAPPY ALERT

Yesterday Denise and I started to miss our little ones back home. One thing I have noticed though is that the longer we are here the more beautiful I think my wife is. I don’t know what it is but I think this was a vacation we both needed and it really shows in her smile.

WHEWW THAT WAS TOUGH!

Anyhow, we headed back to the villa and I finally had an opportunity to peal away with Martha and a few of the smaller members of the wedding for some sweet photos. Martha really is glowing this week and she couldn’t look prettier.

Race, Natasha and Trudeau have had a blast here in Italy as well. Trudeau is a little fashion forward dude with a great singin voice.

Race is a high energy guy that is super crazy smart!

Lastly we have Natasha. I asked her if she was a princess and she firmly told me “NO! I am a queen!”

Gareth couldn’t stand it so he finally came running (with a bad knee) to be in the photographs as well as another opportunity to suck face!

Everyone is having a great time and these two are working hard to make sure things go smoothly. I know my sides hurt from laughing with my buddy Gareth so much. Coming to Cortona was a gift I don’t think I could ever repay. Thanks guys, we have really had a lot of fun!
